So, is anyone else pretty pissed off about these nominations!?
I'm not surprised that Days got completely snubbed, because they always do. I think their errors in the writing both now, and in the past, will continue to bite them in the rear. Except for James Renolds (sp?) nomination last year and Kyle Lowder's a couple years ago ...
Personally, I feel Ali Sweeney deserved a nom. Maybe not in lead actress -- but then again, that's where Kelly Monaco was nominated, so what the heck! -- but certainly as Best Supporting Actress.
Farah and Jason both did pretty well themselves! Both, IMO, were worthy of nominations in the younger categories, though I can't exactly say that the people who were nominated didn't deserve it.
GH, GH, GH. Another soap where the directions that the stories took because of the writers, has just come back to bite 'em in the ass.
Y&R Actor Nominations: 21
GH Actor Nominations: 8
What does that tell you? Both have, IMO, almost equally talented casts, but because GH chooses to put their focus on about 4 characters, no one else has the chance to shine. I don't know why they won't take a clue from Days and Y&R to realize that yes, ensemble casts do actually work!
- Nancy Lee Grahn
- Becky Herbst
- Robin Christopher
- Lindze Letherman
- Greg Vaughn
- Alison Sweeney
- Farah Fath
- Jason Cook
- Bryan Datillo
Only a few of the many who've been completely overlooked. Urgh, if it weren't for the nominations for Michael Graziadei and Scotty Clifton, I wouldn't watch at all.
What about you guys? Who do you think deserved a nod?
