I haven’t really had a whole lot of time to write. I have been so busy with starting college and getting stuff ready that my chapters haven’t really been my best…but I will still write them anyway because you all seem to still read them. 
Chapter 9
“Mimi, what are you doing here? Is something wrong with Jake?” Phillip asked taking Jake from Mimi.
“No, no he’s great. I just came by to let him see you and to talk…if that’s okay?” Mimi asked
“Of course Mimi, you know you are welcome here anytime…so, what is it you wanted to talk about?” Phillip said while playing with Jake in his lap.
“Well I know that Shawn was here this morning…and I don’t know if he told you but we are going to try and make it work again.” Mimi said
“Yeah he told me, I think it is great. I wouldn’t want anyone else to be a stepfather to my son.” Phillip said
“Thank you Phillip, that means so much to me.” Mimi said with a smile.
“Well good I am glad…he also told me that he was on his way over to Belle’s for a break-up conversation…I suppose you know that also.” Phillip said
“Yeah…he told me this morning that he would take care of it, so I just thought I would stay out of it as much as I can…but I’m sure Belle will be knocking down my door to come kick my a** anytime now.” Mimi said
“Don’t worry about Belle…I’ll make sure that she doesn’t go on a revenge rampage with you. Sure she might hate you for a while but hey it’s not like you guys have never hated each other before right?” Phillip said with a slight chuckle
“Yeah, I suppose you’re right.” Mimi said laughing. This in turn made Jake start to giggle in his Dad’s lap.
“He is so cute when he laughs.” Mimi stated
“I agree, and he’s as handsome as a GQ baby, we made some cute baby Mimi.” Phillip said laughing
Mimi laughed once more “Yeah we sure did, who would have thought that Phillip Kiriakis and Mimi Lockhart would have such a cute baby.”
Phillip and Mimi shared a laugh while watching their son. They were both grateful that something so good came out of such a huge mess.
“Thanks Mimi…for trusting me again…I know it must have been hard for you because I know I would sure hate me after what I did to you but I just want you to realize that just because his mother isn’t Belle that doesn’t mean that I am going to be any less of a father to him.” Phillip said
“I know that now. I know that you were not in your right mind when you came back home, and I don’t hold that against you, I know that you won’t be any less of a father to him.” Mimi said
“Thanks Meems.” Phillip said
“By the way…what is going on between you and Belle? I know that she is working at Titan now and I have seen you guys out together.” Mimi said curiously.
“Belle and I are just becoming friends again…but I wouldn’t be opposed to making it something more.” Phillip said with a huge smile.
“Oh, Phillip that is great! I am so happy for you!” Mimi said with excitement.
“Well thank you, for now I just want to let her know that I am here for her again…and I know that she won’t take Shawn breaking up with her very well so I just want to be there for her and you know…keep her from killing you and all.” Phillip said
“Well thanks Phillip, you might just have to do that.” Mimi smiled “Who knows maybe someday we can be like we used to be.”
“Yeah…maybe someday.” Phillip repeated while giving Jake back to Mimi.
Mimi left the building feeling rejuvenated, she and Shawn were back together, she had an amazing son, and her and Phillip’s relationship was only becoming stronger. Sure, her and Belle’s friendship was completely in the pits now but like Phillip said it’s not like they have never hated each other and with Phillip back in love with Belle, he didn’t admit it but Mimi still knew Phillip inside and out, maybe their relationship would rekindle and Belle would forget about revenge on Mimi… “Ok, fat chance on that happening.” Mimi said smiling, but she didn’t worry about it because Belle was just one of those people who were all talk. She knew Belle didn’t do confrontation very well no matter how mad she was. Mimi knew she could hold her own against Belle…and she was more than ready to when the time came.
