Thank GOD I can start watching this show again.

Seriously, props to those of you who've been able to stick with Days through these past 6 months. I commend you.

I'll admit, I've caught glimpses of the show here and there, but only for about 10 mins or so. I miss the actors more than anything! I miss Farah and Ali and Jason and Bryan etc. etc. And I want to see some development for their characters; the actors deserve that much.

SO, that having been said. JERk has finally, finally been shown the door! *cheers *

From the June 20 issue of Soap Opera Digest:

After months of negotiations between NBC, Corday Productions and Sony, insiders say DAYS will be renewed for 2 more years, which will keep it on the air until 2009. James E. Reilly is reportedly out as head writer, and will be replaced by ATWT's 4-time Emmy-winning scribe, Hogan Sheffer, who will start in mid-July.

Also, Peter Reckell has posted about the new HW and how excited the cast is in his latest blog entry.

Hogan is EXCELLENT! His years were the BEST. The writing had so much humor, romance, and adventure. Gosh, I wish he came back to ATWT as HW. ATWT is tanking so fast without him. Days is SOOOOOOOOOOO LUCKY to have Hogan. When he officially starts, I'm going to watch Days full time again. I have a few clips of a couple that Hogan created- Simon and Katie. That was HIS couple.
