Because I heart this couple as much as I do Shimi.
It's bringing a smile to my face, so I figured I'd share.
I'm thinking that Austin and Carrie coming back onto the scene might actually be a great thing for Lumi, especially if they're lusting after them.
Maybe, just maybe, TIIC are on to something here. Maybe what they're trying to show us is that Lumi needs to come full circle for them to truly find their way to eachother.
1990's:
- started as friends
- lusted for the other's sibling
- turned into enemies
2000's:
- reaquainted as friends/fell in love
- turned into enemies
- lusting for the other's sibling
Corday or Reilly (can't remember off the top of my head) said that this "square" will end up with the wrong people in business and in bed -- or something to that effect. This time around when Lumi end up with C&A, they are not going to be satisfied with that relationship; they are going to want the other back because they have been with the real thing this time around. They actually know what they're missing. The whole while Lumi were falling in love, in the back of mind mind I always had to wonder what would happen if Carrie and Austin returned. I think TPTB are showing us that once Lumi end up with C&A, they're not going to be satisfied, and they'll know that the one person they've wanted from the very beginning was not the person for them, because Austin and Carrie have truly always been their biggest obstacle. And from what we've seen of Carrie so far, she's not going to let Sami get in her way this time. She's back for Austin and she's going to get him. So while I may not like the twit, at least she's pushing for the same results.
Maybe Carrie and Austin's return is simply leading to a pretty big Lumi storyline. The realization that the person they've lusted after since they were teenagers is really nothing compared to the relationship they had with eachother.
