Mimi’s dream of living happily ever after with Shawn hits a snag this week on Days of Our Lives.
“Bonnie finds out that Shawn and Mimi have decided to put off their wedding because everyone is still grieving for Zack,” sets up Farah Fath (Mimi). “Bonnie and Mimi get into a fight over it. Bonnie is afraid that with both her and Kate knowing [Shawn is Claire’s father], other people will start finding out. She’s afraid Mimi will lose Shawn before they get married. So, Bonnie just blurts out the news about Claire!”
Mimi is stunned. “She’s in complete denial at first,” shudders Fath. “Mimi says, ‘No. Shawn and Belle never had sex. I know it for a fact.’ Then Bonnie tell her that Kate has proof. Mimi is blindsided. She has a freak out session and loses it, but she wants to do the right thing. Mimi wants to tell Shawn and Belle the truth right away. She doesn’t want to live another lie like she did with Rex.”
Over Bonnie’s dead body – literally. Take a a page from The Bold and The Beautiful’s Stephanie, “Bonnie fakes a heart attack,” reveals Fath. “Mimi doesn’t believe it for a second. She calls Bonnie on it and tells everyone not to believe her. But Bonnie keeps the act up. It gets to the point where she breaks down and gets Mimi starts to think that maybe it is real and says, “Okay. Let’s go to the hospital.”
When Lexie informs Mimi and Shawn that Bonnie’s heart rate is irregular, “Mimi feels guilty,” sighs Fath. “Bonnie tells Mimi no to say anything that will upset her, because she doesn’t want to go back into cardiac arrest. So Mimi has to keep her mouth shut about the baby until her mom is feeling better.”
Elsewhere, Belle confides in Caroline that she still loves Shawn and wishes Claire was his child.
