I haven't seen it yet, but Shimi's on today! Here's a recap of what EE had to say.
Shelle
Shawn and Belle have a deep discussion, which begins with Shawn tending to Claire. He tells Claire how lucky and beautiful she is, etc. etc, and suggests Belle go get some sleep. She decides to take his advice, but before she does, they have a little talk. Belle says she's a horrible mother, blah blah blah, and Shawn (of course) assures her that she isn't. He tells her that he wants her to be really happy with her new family, and she says she wants him to be happy too -- but just not with Mimi. Author's Note: So basically, "Oh yeah, I want you to be happy too ... just not with the person you want to be happy with?" Okay, here comes the Belle-hate. She's afraid she's going to lose him, and that can't happen. He asks her if she means romantically, and she denies it. Eventually she breaks down and admits that she can't stand to watch him be happy with anyone but her. AN: Selfish, selfish, selfish. But if she can't have him, she'll have to let him go. AN: Obviously! He tells her he has to accept he can’t have Belle and if Mimi insists she can’t be with him because she can’t have children, he’ll have to accept that too. AN: I thought he was over her?
... And now for Mimi
Mimi's praying to the Madonna and child statue for forgiveness, but says that if she can't forgive herself, how can she expect God to. Then the statue comes to life AN: and tells her to stop wallowing in pity and basically move on. Mimi then has a daydream.
Daydeam: Mimi dreams about being back to her normal self and having a life with Shawn. She dreams about them sitting on a couch discussing their 4 children, with Shawn saying he'd adopt another 10 if she wanted but they'd have to move out of the loft. She comments on how blessed their whole family is and how much she loves them. Shawn holds her and says that he loves her too, and seals it with a kiss. ;D
The statue assures Mimi that God has forgiven her and says that in life there aren't any do-overs, but there are second chances. All Mimi has to do is forgive herself and learn to love herself before she can expect others to. Then Mimi wakes up on a pew in the church wondering if she was just dreaming. Then she kneels infront of the statue thanking it and realizing that maybe she and Shawn can be happy afterall.
Previews:
Mimi to Shawn: “There can be somebody after Rex.”
Shawn: “Who do you mean, me?”
Mimi nods yes.
